Whatsapp has come up with new feature where you can share your live realtime location for a duration of time to your whatsapp contacts. This feature is now available to both the Android and iOS platform of the app.
Wondering how to access this cool and exciting feature? Checkout how to do so.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on Android or iOS.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Attachment’ icon on the typing space bar.
Step 3: Tap on the ‘Location’ feature.
Step 4: Tap on the “Live Location Share” option.
Step 5: Set up the time frame during which others in individual chat or groups can track you. Three options are available – 15 minutes, 1 hour and 8 hours.
Don't worry this is an end to end encrypted feature, so your location data will not get leaked to any other person. Also you can choose to stop sharing your realtime location whenever you want.
